Given that India is vulnerable to a variety of natural and man-made disasters, including as earthquakes, floods, cyclones, and industrial accidents, disaster management is an essential and complex undertaking. Across the country, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is essential to the coordination and execution of preparedness, response, and recovery activities. Building resilience and enhancing local communities’ ability to respond to disasters have received more attention in recent years. To lessen the effects of calamities, India has also taken the initiative to establish early warning systems and raise public awareness. But difficulties still exist, and maintaining infrastructure and disaster management plans at a high level is still crucial to the security and welfare of the country.
